Winter SOS: Hands & Nails

Deciding to go SLS free has done wonders for my hands. They certainly are not as dry as they usually are during winter which means less money spent on hand creams and more money for other treats (well after the spending ban of course). Saying that though they still need some TLC at this time of year and what I have been loving a lot is the L'Occitane hand creams (link). They really do the job and come in array of beautiful scents.

Using a treatment cream and slipping on some cotton gloves ooh la la is great for a intensive moisture boost. I have been using the Elemis Pro-radiance hand and nail cream* (linkrecently and am pretty impressed with the results. I tend to just wear the gloves for a few hours in the evening but if you are in dire need then wear them overnight. I may have mentioned before or most probably quite a few times that I am a huge fan of Argan Oil. I use this particular one from Billy in the Tree (link)  on my cuticles a few times a day. It sinks in nicely smoothing out the cuticles and leaving them looking top notch.

A great tip is to carry around a multi use balm such as Figs and Rouge (link) to apply to the cuticles when you are on the run.

  1. Hooray for switching out the SLS. I've been SLS free for many years & my skin is no where near as dry as it was and I moisturise less. It's also good to remove petroleum as it doesn't repair skin hence why you keep having to re-apply hand creams & lip balms. I love Figs n Rouge balms :)

  3. L'Occitane creams are simply the best - I've never had a hand cream that makes my hands so so soft!

  4. I've had a l'occitane hand cream in my drawer for a year or something when they were handing out mini's. Need to finish my hand food first x
