As I mentioned in my post yesterday ( I didn't really think my posting schedule through this week clearly!). I love mini polishes, they don't take up as much room, I never get through a full sized 15ml-er (does anyone?!) and they are so god damn cute! Especially the Mavala bottles. I had no idea and love this fact but the lids were actually inspired by Mary Quant's A-Line minskirts of the 60's. I am always drawn in by Vintage and Retro shapes!
With spring around the corner, dark hues are put to bed and light pastel pretties pop their head's out of hibernation. There's nothing quite like candy colours on the nails to put a smile on your face after the winter blues I can tell ya!
These are perfect spring summer pastelly perfection. Mavala* produce a brilliant formula and easy to apply brush. Lemon cream needed three coats (kind of a given with yellow polishes) but the rest were opaque in two. Each polish has a slight shimmer through it which you can't see once applied.
I'm quite surprised how much I like White on it's own. It's not too stark and would look fabulous on darker skintones or with a tan. It certainly will be used often if we ever get the sun back! I don't think the shades photographed as well as it looks in real life. They come up a little darker in the picture, I just couldn't get the right light. Bah!
At £4.50 a pop these are budget friendly polishes. You can find them at John Lewis or Debenhams.
